MCC holds Open Carving Sessions from 3:00-6:00PM on the afternoons of our monthly meetings. The sessions are open to all members and operate very informally.
Members bring their own tools, accessories and carving projects to work on at their own pace. Other members are available for consultation regarding issues and techniques.
We usually meet in The Woodworkers Club’s classroom where they have 7-8 work benches with vises. There is also overflow capacity with benches available outside of the classroom as well. Clamping jigs are also available that can handle flat panels up to ~12″x12″ in size.
The sessions are also great time to socialize with other members and discover common carving interests and learn new techniques from others.
