Club Meetings

The general meeting agenda is:

  • 6:30-7:00 – Setup, registration, Show & Tell setup, socialization
  • 7:00-7:15 – Business Meeting
  • 7:15-7:45 – Show & Tell
  • 7:45-9:00 – Featured Demonstration/Presentation

Prior to each meeting, we hold a Skills Enhancement session from 3:00-6:00pm where members socialize, work on personal carving projects and can participate in activities to improve individual skills and techniques.  We periodically offer a Carver’s Sharpening Clinic where we help diagnosis issues with individual sharpening techniques. Bring your individual carving tools and learn how to take them to the next level of sharpness which is crucial to effective carving.

  • November 17, 2022. “Carve Together Holiday Ornaments” – the club will provide designs and blanks, Carve at the meeting, then take it home to finish and paint in time to show it at the December meeting
  • December 15, 2022. “Show Your Carved Holiday Ornaments from November 2022 and from Before” also Club Holiday PotLuck (COVID permitting)

2022 Virtual Open Carve

MCC holds monthly Virtual Carving Sessions via Zoom from 3:00-5:30pm on the First Thursday of each month. Members get together via Zoom to carve, collaborate and just enjoy the camaraderie. an email is sent at the first of each month with details for connecting via Zoom.

2022 Whittling and Carving Classes
